Snowy Hydro ends its cloud seeding program in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains.
The operation boosted the production of hydroelectricity by pumping over 300 kilograms of silver iodide into storm clouds.
The process creates more snow over the Snowy Mountains and ski resorts like Thredbo and Perisher.
Snowy Hydro began cloud seeding trials two decades ago, making it permanent in 2013 after the program increased snowfall by an average of 14 per cent.
